Since our inception in 1979, MJLF has expanded beyond the traditional core activities of Spot Tanker Chartering and Sale/Purchase. Today our key differentiation is our ability to deliver a complete service offering.
MJLF's spot department provides expertise in point-to-point movement of crude oil and petroleum products in International and U.S. Flag markets — single voyage, consecutive voyage, time charter, and contracts of affreightment. Our team maintains first-class coverage 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
MJLF's expertise in ship sales spans Newbuilding contracting and second-hand sales including ship scrapping. Our Projects team has experience with international and domestic vessels of varying sizes — Tankers, Container Vessels, Shuttle Tankers, Offshore Equipment, Gas Carriers, and Barges.
One of the areas where MJLF has had success is working with end users in securing long-term access to tonnage that yields the lowest delivered cost per ton. We identify vessel characteristics — including cutting-edge Dual Fuel Technology capable of burning LNG — and contract newbuildings in conjunction with financing and operation.
Our consulting team draws from a diverse skill set ranging from Chartering and Finance to Newbuilding construction and second-hand vessel acquisition. Often the consultation phase is the preliminary work that leads to Project Development.
